Brandywine Zoo!
The Brandywine Zoo is less than five acres and located in Wilmington, Delaware, along the Brandywine River in beautiful Brandywine Park. The Zoo is open 10am to 4pm (last admission at 3:30pm). The Brandywine Zoo is managed by the Delaware Division of Parks and Recreation with the support of the Delaware Zoological Society. The Brandywine Zoo is a member of the Association of Zoos & Aquariums and is one of over 240 accredited zoos and aquariums in North America, a distinction that marks its commitment to providing excellent care for animals, a great experience for the visitor, and a better future for all living things.

Member Gathering & Annual Report
Wednesday, January 29,
5pm-7pm
Members are invited to learn about the behind-the-scenes activities and future plans for the Zoo from leaders of the Delaware Zoological Society, the non-profit that supports the mission of the Brandywine Zoo, and leaders of the Brandywine Zoo. After a half hour of speakers, there will be questions from attendees and discussions.
Birds & Bees Trivia Night (21+)
Friday, February 7 & Saturday, February 8, 5:30-7:30pm
Celebrate Valentine’s Day in the wildest way by joining us for a fun adults-only trivia night at the zoo! Singles and sweethearts 21 and up are invited to test your knowledge about mating, dating, and reproduction in the animal world.
Spring Kick Off
Friday, February 7 & Saturday, February 8, 5:30-7:30pm
Join us while we kick off our spring season! We’re celebrating with zoo trivia for kids throughout the day, a self-guided scavenger hunt, special keeper talks, a raffle, and more!
Zoobilee Dinner Dance
Saturday, March 22, 6:30pm
ZOOBILEE will be a fun-filled gala dinner dance celebrating the 120th Anniversary of the Brandywine Zoo. Enjoy music, dinner, dancing, silent auction, live auction, and the presentation of the Zoo Champion Award.
Scout Night
Saturday, April 5, 4:30-7PM
Enjoy an evening at the zoo for this specially designed event for scouts and their families! There will be activities and learning stations geared toward scout requirements. This program takes place in the zoo so dress for the weather.
Members Only Event
Thursday, April 10, 5-7PM

Zoobilee Gala Dinner Dance

ZOOBILEE will be a fun-filled gala dinner dance celebrating the 120th Anniversary of the Brandywine Zoo.

Become a Docent
The application to become a Brandywine Zoo docent is now open until January 31!
Brandywine Zoo docents are volunteers that conduct educational activities for guests, participate in special events, assist educators with traveling programs and more!
If you are passionate about inspiring conservation action, this year-long team of volunteers may be the perfect fit for you
